The most important new features are: concrete design of beams and columns according to EC8 (Capacity Design) for ductility class DCH and DCM (available in Expert configuration of program Tower, only), support for concrete design utilizing FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) reinforcement, updated Russian seismic codes...
This is the more detailed list of main new features in Tower 7 Build 7631:
- Concrete design of beams and columns according to EC8 (Capacity Design) for ductility class DCH and DCM (available in Expert configuration of program Tower, only),
- Support for concrete design utilizing FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) reinforcement
- Updated Russian seismic codes (according to revision from 2014.) and added Kazakhstan seismic codes,
- added support for arbitrary defined parameters of spectral curve in SIA seismic codes

• option for adding new steel types for EC3 design
• for multimodal seismic load-cases and its SRSS combination, for their combination with other ordinary load-cases, display of influences in indirect elements enabled
• Added new type of influence in slab – total shear force |V| obtained as square root from sum of squares Vz,x and Vz,y
• Obtaining relative beam deflection – relative to arbitrary plane
• In EC2 concrete design, for user defined combinations, enabled determination of combination's type (permanent/transient, seismic or accidental) from data about load's type defined in Load combination scheme dialog
• In EC2 concrete design, in Cross-section calculation dialog, enabled assigning a load type (permanent/transient, seismic or accidental) for every set of loading / influences
• in EC2 concrete design, in Load combination scheme, enabled user defined “psi” coefficients for “Variable” load type

• In the module for Report creation, added “AutoText” functionality. “AutoText” is a text which automatically appends at the Block's Title text or Block Signature text
• In the module for Report creation, enabled adjusting of decimal points used for displaying Blacks scale ratio. The tag %R0 displays Block's scale ratio without a decimal point
• In Visibility dialog added option for displaying the Description of indirect elements
• In modal analysis, in the dialog for selecting the current mode, added option for setting level of foundations. If assigned, calculation of the effective masses participation will use masses above foundation level, only. Improved report of effective masses participation.
Beside those new features and changes, this Build contains a significant number of fixes and small improvements.

07.04.2015. » Tower 7 Build 7422 has been released.

Among the numerous new features, the most important are: calculation of cracks and deflections is completely implemented according to EC3 , including new kinds of combining and calculation, significant improvement in moveable load analysis - fully compatible with curved path and combination of curved and straight path of moveable load (automatic concatenation of paths) and time history analysis, export of point support reactions into a new file as concentrated forces, significant improvement in reports for seismic and modal analysis. Beside that, it contains significant number of minor changes, improvements and bug-fixes.


13.10.2014. » Tower 7 Build 7321 has been released.

The most important new feature is implementation of method of direct dynamic analysis in seismic analysis. This feature is available for users with Expert license only (64-bit license). Beside that, it contains significant number of minor changes and improvements related with slab punching, steel and timber design and analysis of moveable load, along with certain number of corrections previously reported errors.

Implemented several new features – the most important are: seismic walls design using design envelope for bending moments and shear forces according to EC8 (paragraph 5.4.2.4.), slab punching control according to SNIP codes, export Tower files to Tower Demo file format,...
Here is a more detailed list of new features in this Build of program Tower 7:
For all Eurocode based regulations enambled concrete design using the design envelope for bending moments and shear forces according to 5.4.2.4. Special provisions for ductile walls.
Enabled option for assigning the length of concrete section used for concrete design of seismic wall.
Influences in the proxy entity for MMS (multimodal seismic) loadcases or SRSS combinations will be displayed as two-sided diagram (to reflect the alternative naure of those load cases), enabling displaying two sided asymmetric diagrams of load case combinations containing MMS or SRSS load cases.
Slab punching control according to SNIP codes
Concrete beam and column design for SNIP codes – updated shara force design and buckling effects.
Improved functionality of 2D rotation command – added option for setting referent axis for rotation.
Export to Tower DEMO format. With this change, free Tower 7 DEMO program could be used as free viewer of Tower 7 projects. Saving into Tower DEMO format could be performed through “Save as...” command and choosing “Tower 7 Demo” as target file type. Original Tower file will be preserved.
Except those new features, the program contains significant number of corrections and bug-fixes.

Implemented several new features – the most important are: modelling soil as elastic halfspace, property multipliers for for slabs and beams, speed meny for calling last used commands, new entity - link over line ...
Here is a more detailed list of new features in this Build of program Tower 7:
• Modelling soil as elastic halfspace. Automatic generation of F.E. mesh of soil halfspace. Arbitrary number of soil layers with arbitrary characteristics, fixed or varoable thickness defined in arbitrary number of points (drill-holes). Analysis of soil stresses, deformation and layout of soil layers in vertical cut-planes.
• Option for defining multipliers for properties of beams and slabs (for static and seismic model) individually for every set.
• New entity - Link over line - linear Link. Enabled modeling of connection along two non intersected lines (beam with beam, beam with plate, plate with plate...).
• New command - The resultant reaction command. Program displays the resultant (sum) of arbitrary selected supports.
• Speed menu for recaling some of recently called commands. Speed menu button is placed at the beginning of the command line.
• Displaying of forces in Link elements (point or line Link). Forces are displaying in 2D View, through the command for support reactions.
• Added option for adjusting number of decimal places for display of load (suport, linear and point) intensity.
• Display of minilal and maximal values of influences for beams in status line could be dependant on visibility/hiding of beams.
• Added "Copy & Paste" functionality from clipboard in the dialog of profiles database and in the dialog for arbitrary spectral curve. This will enable easy transfer of large amount of tabularly organized data (such as from xls or txt tables) "Paste" operation is not performed by Crl+V, but with choosing the "Paste" command from the menu opened with mouse right click at the desired cell in tge grid.
• Calculation of interaction diagrams for seismic walls. Also, in the interaction diagrams calculationm added option for choosing calculation diagrams for addopted or required reinforcement.
• Calculation of forces at the slab/wall section for SRSS load cases and for combination of loadcases including multi modal seismic load cases. Instead of diagram, unique values for desired forces are displayed.
• Automatic combining of pairs of multimodal seismic loadcases generated when accidental torsion effects are included. - Added option for choosing language for report in the module for report creationm
• Added option for including information of project filename (with or without a full path) at the report header table.
• Major changes and optimization in generating txt report of extreme values which enabled generation of txt reports for extreme values for much larger models with much larger number of loadcases.
Except those new features, the program contains significant number of corrections and bug-fixes.

• report - added new folder before "Content"- folder (the introduction folder) allowing adding some texts and descriptions before the documentation prepared in Tower
• report - horizontal alignment of graphical blocks. Last graphical block in the row could be aligned horizontally (left, center or right)
• Bulgarian EC slab punch control
• improved layout of reports for interaction diagrams
• in advanced options of seismic analysis added option for reduction of bending stiffness of columns
• timber design EC - added option for defining partial coefficient for material
• dialog for animation of deformed view/modal analysis shape - added option for switching between default views (top, left, front,...)
• drawing parameters - added option for adjusting the density of non continuous lines (dash, dash-dot, dot), added new types of those lines 2x, 5x.
• surface load over system of beams - allowed conversion of load to linear support or indirect walls
• reinforcement area over slabs - added feature of 'smart' positioning of diagonal label. This will help detecting cases when more than one reinforcement area with the same contour occupies the same slab.
• command for node highlighting - for quick search of particular node (enter the Id of one or two nodes and they will be marked in 3D and 2D view

This version contains significant number of minor changes and improvements. Along with this version the complete User Manual on Serbian language was published.

New version presents significant improvement of program Tower 6 and was created based on requests and needs of its numerous users.

The most important changes in this Build are:
- program is compatible with Windows 7 - there is no need for setting Windows Vista compatibility mode in order to run under Windows 7
- added another solver in 64-bit version - large scale block solver
- updated Sentinel HASP drivers
Except those changes, the program contains certain number of improvements and minor corrections.


18.05.2011. » 64-bit version of Tower 6 has been released.

We announce release of 64-bit version of program Tower 6 which will establish the basis of the Expert configuration. The Expert configuration is dedicated to demanding users who analyze structures of significant magnitude, containing large number of nodes.
Expert configuration is also dedicated to users who wants to employ the power of its hardware more efficiently and gain visible speed-up. This version works only under 64-bit Windows operating systems.
Three main characteristics of this version are:
• multiple increase of solving and elaborating capacity - an analysis of models with 100 000, 200 000 or more nodes is reality and quite feasible.
• increased speed of the analysis - by introducing a parallelism of some key processes and procedures it is possible to employ all processor cores and shorten the time of execution. Except this, acceleration was gained by certain specific optimizations.
• modernized and improved graphics system is realised by migration from DirectX 7 to DirectX 9 led to faster graphics and increased compatibility with current and future Windows operating systems.

• Intel or AMD multi-core processor (3 or 4 cores), 8 GB of RAM, 64-bit Windows operating system (Windows Vista or Windows 7)

The most important new features are related with generation of reports for selected group of entities and invoking new Slovenian seismic codes (SLO EC8). Beside that, this version contains numerous improvements, optimizations and bug-fixes.

This version contains several minor corrections. The most important are related with drawing of prestress cables and replacing cross-sections in steel design. Also, this version contains some necessary adjustments for allowing parallel usage of Tower 5 and Tower 6 on the same computer.

This version contains several fixes.
• Ordering of load case combinations may become incorrect after repeated solve (analysis). No impact to results or design.
• Influences in slab, for multimodal seismic load cases for "support regions" (Mx, My) was not initialized.
• In some cases deleted generated textual report blocks stayed not completely deleted in document, wasting the space.


28.02.2007. » Version 5.5 build 6120 released.

This version contains several minor corrections.
• Increasing of accuracy (by tolerance decreasing) in reinforcement calculation. In some specific and very rare cases, noticed significant increase of reinforcement amount due small variation of influences.
• Unsymmetrical I section - small changes in stirrup calculation and reinforcement adopting procedure.
• Correction in fissure and flexion calculation for eccentric and/or rotated cross section.

This version contains several modifications and changes - the most important are:
• Modification in combination scheme for EC based regulations - in some cases the load scheme contained duplicates and in some cases combinations were missing.
• For models with nonlinear elements, defining of sway types in calculation of buckling effects in concrete design were disabled.
• Changed the way for defining LCS of linear entities on spiral surface.

• Fixed bug in TXT report for EC concrete design of plates - the value of bending moment in displayed report is not the same as design value.

What is new:
• An easier creation of anvelope load cases.
• Alowed moving of graphical blocks between groups.
• Export of graphical block as arbitrary sized bitmap (BMP file). This kind of export will be executed instead of standard export when 'Ctrl' and 'Shift' are pressed simultaneously.
• Changes in procedure for automatic generation of adopted areas for covering with of reinforcement in the upper zone. Along with option for making areas same size width, there are option for making areas of covering dependant of plate span.
• Added option for transferring load case combinations generated in combination scheme for concrete design into regular load case combinations.
• Eased and articulated procedure for defining the 'Plot window' in graphical blocks.
• Concrete design - BULG EC regulations - changes in combination scheme and changes in calculation of shear force reinforcement design.
• Migration to latest HASP drivers. From now, the users with network licences should use HASP Licence Manager 8.31 or newer. (downloadable from page "Downloads").
Except that, there are several improvements, corrections and bug-fixes:
• Concrete design - PBAB87 regulations - in specific cases when girder is under pressure with small eccentricity, the partial coefficients are not increased.
• Fixed problem in moving load combination and envelopes.
• In operation of joining contours, entities of loads are joined regardless its difference in intensity.
• Incomplete block description in block with adopted reinforcement for beams.
• Fixed problem in seismic walls labeling - inconsistent labels on picture and txt-report.

• Export of adopted reinforcement (beams and plates) into ArmCAD 2005 (including option for 3d export of adopted reinforcement in beams). To set the target version of program ArmCAD (2000 or 2005) for export, use the command 'Functionality'.
• Changed procedure for client installation - added feature for switching the client installation type (with or without copying of executables).
• Automatic and comprehensive reports for moving loads.
• Setting and change graphical block's scale factor. Displaying of scale factor in block title. (tag %R will be replaced with current scale factor value.)
• Added feature for copying of selected loading entities to another load case - just with using command 'Copy'.
• Operation for automatic generation of graphical blocks with loading now respects established visibility.
• Rendered view of adopted reinforcement in beams.

What is new:
• Implemented latest changes in EUROCODE 2 - concrete design. The changes are related with combining scheme and partial factors
• Fixed problem with drawing of global Z beam displacement diagrams which is occured in Build 5321
• Minor modifications in steel design related with change of default bending curves for 'box' sections (according YUS codes).

New DEMO version of program Tower 5 is released.
The DEMO program has the same functionality as professional version - structural analysis (theory I and II), stability analysis, modal analysis and seismic analysis - but it is limited to 300 node models. Concrete design, steel design and timber design are not available.

05.08.2003. » Dimensioning the concrete sections in accordance with other standards: EUROCODE, DIN, SIA, SNIP, ACI, BULG, etc. is currently being finished.

Dimensioning the steel sections has been completed and currently this part of the program is being tested. We expect the new version of the program with all these novelties to be released by the end of the August 2003.

Dimensioning the concrete sections in accordance with PBAB is incorporated in this version.


17.06.2003. » Instruction for operating with our program is prepared in "pdf" format and you can download it from our site by option "Downloads".


17.05.2003. » First commercial "beta" version of Tower 5 program is put on sale. In this version , structural design in accordance with first order theory, modal analysis, seismic calculation and option of forming the design documentation are functional.
