Metal Studio for BricsCAD !
Starting with this build, Metal Studio 2 is finally compatible with BricsCAD.
Supported BricsCAD versions are v23 and later.
We have also released a new build for versions running on AutoCAD.
This build includes fixes for several identified issues and introduces a few new features.
This is the complete list of changes and fixes in this build:
- FIX for an issue where the cross-section hatch could be drawn in the wrong location.
- FIX for an issue in the bolt array editing dialog that could cause the program to crash when accessing an array for which the profile had previously been changed.
- FIX for an issue involving the rotational grip editing of a member within the cross-section view.
- FIX for a 2D view naming issue: if a 2D view name contained a leading or trailing space, or a comma or semicolon anywhere in the name, selecting that view in the dialog would fail to bring it into view.
- CHANGE – The command for editing and setting views is now available only when the current drawing mode is "Model Space" and is unavailable in "Paper Space" mode.
- FIX for the display of source and destination symbol text when shown in a 2D view.
- FIX in the cross-section extraction command to correctly account for the scale and scaling of the entities from which the section is derived.
- FIX for an error in determining the member's bounding box within the cross-section, which caused the section to appear in the wrong location after being copied via the clipboard (using Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V).
- CHANGE – A "Solid Regeneration" option has been added to the Visibility Refresh command; this option regenerates and recovers all solids in the model. We identified that solid corruption occurs in rare cases, and this command serves to rectify such errors. FIX for an error in MS1, mode where the command to extract a cross-section sometimes failed to work correctly. This occurred if a different plane (e.g., a frame) had previously been active in the window, causing the system to use an incorrect transformation.
- FIX for an issue involving the incorrect assignment of member sub-item numbers within a cross-section (dependent on the transformation determinant) following a visibility refresh or report generation.
- FIX for the incorrect placement of bolt symbols when extracting a cross-section from a member containing a bolt series while working in a 2D view (such as a frame).
- FIX for an issue where an unnecessary line was drawn extending from the starting point during "drag" mode.
- FIX for the program uninstallation process—the file path pointing to the list of files to be removed was incorrect.
- FIX for an issue where the destination marker did not rotate during "drag" mode.
- FIX for a display issue in "drag" mode regarding existing weld line dimensions—the line was not displayed during the initial step.
- FIX/IMPROVEMENT: Significantly reduced time required to access the report.
- FIX/IMPROVEMENT: Significantly accelerated entity refreshing and visible-edge cache generation when exiting the "Creating and editing views" dialog.
- FIX for an issue that could cause the program to crash when printing to a physical printer or generating a PDF.
